David Briggs
David Briggs is a Principal of the Black Canyon Group Inc. Dave has devoted his career to the front lines of B2B sales and marketing. He’s created value for customers in service and capital equipment businesses by designing and implementing sales processes and building the sales teams that used them effectively. Dave has deep experience with coaching and training sales representatives, managing pipelines, and creating powerfully beneficial relationships with numerous customers. He’s helped design and implement the brand promise for each of the companies he’s served. A highly skilled facilitator, Dave earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from Harvard University. Dave and his wife Kathy live in Baltimore and their four children can be found in Baltimore, San Diego, Dallas, and Bend, Oregon.

Marilee Peterson
Marilee is a Principal of the Black Canyon Group Inc., and a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in all aspects of membership organization leadership. She has served as an association Executive Director, and earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in the spring of 2013. Her primary focus has been educational programming and events. A relentless optimist, Marilee produces each of the Black Canyon Group programs and events, as well as serving as registrar for each one. She took a three-year sabbatical to create her own business designing and building architectural stained glass. In her free time Marilee knits, weaves, reads and loves to travel. While traveling, she seeks out beautiful yarn and wonderful books.

Wayne M. Peterson
Wayne Peterson is a Principal of the Black Canyon Group Inc. He has created and built five strong brands, and coached the creation of a dozen more. Wayne has served as president of three fast growing firms, and in C-Level roles in marketing and business development. He founded the Black Canyon Group in 2008. Wayne’s expertise is focused on four areas: competitive strategy & branding; sustainable systems and processes; customer creation and retention; and effective and sustained revenue growth. When not working, writing, reading, or studying, Wayne is usually found outdoors, behind a camera and somewhere beautiful — as often as possible in a National Park.
